Anyone using these Antigravity ReStart Lithium Ion Batteries? Opinions?

It's just about riding season for me in central Alberta. Lots of bikes out already.
I am wanting to replace the original battery in my 2020 F3T.
It stays on the battery tender jr all winter and in between rides.
I haven't tried to crank it over this season yet. Has never given me grief. But looking ahead.

I came across these Antigravity Batteries on a Canadian company, Fort Nine.
They look interesting. Come in different sizes.

Anyone use these? Opinions? I've read mixed reviews online.
Or just stick to the original brand battery that came with the bike?

I'm in the camp that thinks "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" There's lots of controversy about Lithium Batteries .... Most, if not all, need a SPECIAL battery charger/maintainer ..... IF you are worried about whatever battery you currently have, just get a Lithium Battery "JUMPER". This will get you started and running if the battery fails .... Then consider a new battery .... I use a Shorai motorsports battery which, like the Antigravity, is LifePo4 chemistry. LifePo4 cranking and storage performance is lower than Lithium-Ion batteries but it's safer fire- and leakage-wise than your Spyder's SLA battery. The Antigravity is compatible with your Spyder's charging system and even better than Shorai includes its own on-board BMS. When it gets cold enough for heated gear the battery will probably want some internal heat to crank your Spyder. The energy is there, it just needs a bit of heat to release it. In a car you can turn on the headlights for a minute or so but the Spyder has a load-shedding relay and other circuits to keep power off until the engine is running. You might ask Antigravity for suggestions.

You can use a regular charger in SLA or AGM mode (but not in Recovery mode) for a few hours to recharge the battery if needed but not as a tender. If you want a tender then buy the specific charger recommended by Antigravity.

When I received my first Shorai, I thought they hadn't packed the battery ... they are that light!

As Bert mentioned the LifePO4 batteries are more suited to car and Spyder battery charging systems and can be found at different suppliers in Canada. The sledders have been using the EarthX battery with better cold weather capabilities. I have been following the developement of these batteries for more close to 10 years but have not purchased one so far. The parasitic lose when sitting is much lower than SLA or AGM.

I have had very good service from the Yuasa AGM but my Spyder came with a Chinese battery that was replaced on warranty and I will see if the replacement makes the summer? Good luck with your purchase.

When I did a search, I didn't find anything on them.
So figured I better get opinions.

You're welcome! :clap: .... From my own personal experiences, Batteries, if properly maintained, can last as long as 9-10 years. ..... IMHO many folks replace theirs without knowing the Real condition of them ..... I won't get into the ecological problems this causes ..... but I will say they aren't cheap, so why just guess if yours is bad?? .... You have the 1330 engine and charging system, which means that even if the battery is failing, once started the Spyder will run until you stop it .... You only need to Start it initially, which does take quite a bit of juice ..... A Lithium "JUMPER" device will do that without issues, as long as you keep "IT" charged..... Good luck .... Thanks Mike! This gives me peace of mind. My jumper is charged and ready to go in the frunk.
Just need to wait for the weather to smarten up so I can go for a scoot. Snowed this morning.

I was searching the internet for local suppliers and came across this one:

its rated at 12ah but has a 700cca which is twice that of the oem battery. They also list a 8ah that has 420cca and is quite a bit cheaper.
They are obviously a local chinese battery reseller but it has a 5 yr. warranty? Local dealers, Calgary and Edmonton.

I have a call in to them to get more detail so not a recommendation at all just a FYI.
