• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yes I do

Mine is well chromed and has served us very well. It allows the high mount rear brake light to be easily seen by the cars behind us. We put our rain suits and the bike cover on it when we are traveling. I mounted a flag on each side very easily( NO expensive flag mounts). WE are very pleased with it..

It was a bit fiddely to mount. I wanted it about 1/4" higher than the templet places it. I just used a spacer and then the rack as a templet. You don't want to load it heavy though. First, it might be over loading the trunk weight limit. Second, the weight is up high and not good for handling.

:agree: Mine is the Black version, bloody good looking on my Pearl White RT Ltd, so much so that I'm slowly converting all the chrome to black now! And another added benefit is that since fitting the rack, it has smoothed out the air turbulence behind the Spyder so that my pillion pasenger, the Child Bride, no longer gets rain down the back of her neck if we happen to get caught out & find we are ryding in the rain! :ohyea: It's also lessened the dirt build-up on the back of the top box, plus she no longer gets the occasional swirl of gas fumes from the exhaust, so I think the 'whale-tail' shape has worked very well as a rear deck spoiler, AND it comes in handy to carry the touring cover & camel-back when we are long-distance touring.... something we do fairly often! All up, a really great addition to my RT! Only shortfall, the bolt heads went rusty fairly quickly (too much ryding in the rain maybe?!) so I re-painted them with a matt black touch-up paint, but hey, overall, that's such a minor problem... Big bubbles, no troubles! ;)

I have the chrome one on my white RT - installation was easy, fitment and product quality are great. There is a band between the screwholes to reinforce them, reducing the likelihood of a jiggling rack expanding the holes.

I also have a high-middle brake light and I have one caution if you do as well. First, the rack is flat and horizontal so visibility of the light is not affected. However, the brake light comes right up under the rack meaning it is difficult to use holes and slots right about the light for hooks for straps.

The rack expands making it more versatile than some, and in my mind it is better looking than some in that the chrome pipe version of the rack, the one most people put on, looks too large for the bike to me.

I have the rack in black

And all the positive stuff has been said.
Go buy one, you won't be sorry.

Great info on the forum

Thanks everybody.....I will put it on the farkle list

On a side note, I will probably figure out if I need this with my upcoming trip to Spyderfest. We are trying to pack as light as possible.....we'll see

Thanks again everybody

I’d be interested in a flat storage bag to strap on. One that can hold a bike cover and or rain gear. Something about 3” tall.
