• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any Suggestions on mounting Garmin XT onto '21 RT-L?

Picking up the 2021 RTL next Thursday from Extreme Power Sports in Columbus Ga. Where is the best place to mount the Garmin XT and where to run the power cable? Are there any videos out yet for removing the Tupperware on the 21s?

2020 and 2021 tupperware removal is the same. Several vids out there, many referenced on this site. I think there is an install vid on the Lamonster site.

I used the videos out there to wire my XT to the right side of my 21 RT where the outlet is intended for this purpose. I used a Posi-Tap connector and left the stock connector intact. Just run the wiring down beside the steering. Pop off the right speaker cover to help visualize. Tupperware removal was not an issue once I watched the videos several times.

Can't comment on powering the Zumo but, IMO, your placement of the device should be based upon your assessment of how it may distract you from the safe operation of your Spyder. The best place for you to locate it may not be where another owner might place it.

I did same on my 20 RT.

1 - If you use the XT for guidance AND use BT instructions to helmet, you can mount off to the side and lower so it doesn't affect forward view.
2 - If you don't get voice instructions to your lid, best to mount centered and slightly below dash display view so you can glance down occasionally to view route ahead.

I have the GPS sound off due to intercom interruptions so mine is mounted like #2.

Several vendors sell a RAM ball on a bolt that replaces one of the handlebar bolts ~$60. Then, you use standard RAM arm and adapter to the back of the Garmin mount and wire as the videos (Lamont's is great) show. If you are handy and have a lathe, you can buy 10mm stud and coupler nut from ACE hardware, cut down about half of the flats, and attach a 10mm x 1.5 RAM ball on it yourself for about $17.

I used the Lamont handle bar clamp mount really well made easy to install puts it in a good position.works very well for me

I mounted my Garmin XT to the top of my dash just in front of the slot opening using a mount like this

I used 3M dubbed back auto tape to mount it. Ran the cable end for the GPS through the dash slot down the right side to the Spyders GPS connection ( this connection is powered as soon as you turn on the key which makes it great for checking, or programming the GPS without having to start the Spyder)
Having it mounted there allows me to not have to take my eyes off the view ahead to keep tract of directions.

I have a 2020 RTL with a Garmin XT and use the Lamonster Ram mount 2.0 for F3, RT, ST, RS (All Options). Attaches to the center handle bar clamp.
