• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any other Spyder riders in the Atlanta area want to get together?

Hi Everybody,

I live in the Alpharetta / Johns Creek area of Atlanta and am looking for other Spyder owners with whom to ride. I already ride with some motorcycle friends, and I really enjoy that. They're great folks. But I'm hoping to meet some other Spyder owners. So far I've met only a couple.

Thanks and ride safely,

Richard

Little checking.....

From the membes list there are some 96 ryders listed in the atlanta area. There are probably many more that are not members. On the home page here upper left there is also the groups and clubs you can search out. Many bike shops that hold rides have spyders joining them so check with them. There there somewhere...

i am in the Covington, GA area & ride my spydy all the time, hubby is about to head out on it for an 11 day cross county ride.

we ride with SCRC #213 but do a lot of riding outside of club also. he does a lot of PGR rides also.

Hi Richard,

There is a Facebook page to help you connect. FWIW, the group has not been very active but you might come up with a few people willing to ride with you.

We are in Suwanee but my medical condition keeps me off the Spyder until outdoor temps are 70 or below.

I’ve run across a woman on a blue RT pulling out of the subdivision just behind the Publix on McGinness Ferry and Old Atlanta (stopped her when I noticed the frunk gasket hanging dragging on the ground). So there are people in the area, but I’ve not met them.

Ride safe.

Rides

I am about 12 miles inside TN on US Hwy 411. If you want to ride Cherohala and/or The Dragon sometime let me know. Both start around 45 minutes from where I live.

Afternoon Richard;
I live in Cumming, and just purchased a Spyder F3-S.
I have been riding since 1999.
I too have been looking for a Spyder group, but the closest group
is the Atlanta Spyder Riders, nothing from Roswell, Alpharetta, North.
I have a couple of 2 wheel guys I have been riding with for a while.

I used to ride with the Southern Cruisers back in the day when they used to meet off 400 just before 60.
Mucho water under the bridge!

Future Spyder owner next store in Roswell. Monitoring the economy with a hopeful purchase in the fall. Would be great to get a group going in our immediate area. Currently riding a vintage Honda Scrambler to pass the time.

Afternoon Richard:
I am a recent 3 wheel convert who lives in Cumming.
I ride with other guys who are a mix between bikes and trikes.
We can ALWAYS add another willing rider especially one with a Spyder!
Hope you give it some thought Richard.

:oldpost: Sorry Rotax, but it ALWAYS pays to check the start date on any thread you are looking at, plus the date on the most recent posts, and also making sure you read back at least the last few posts on the thread (who knows, you might even find you posted much the same thing as you just did in this thread just over a month ago?! :dontknow: ) ;)

Anyhow, the OP in this thread, RichardRubin, started it back in mid 2018, and he hasn't actually posted anything since about August 2018, so there's gotta be juust a little doubt that he's gonna reply; but as some of the earlier replies here have stated, there are a bunch of other Spyder Ryders & a few groups in/around Atlanta & surrounds/Georgia, and there's a fairly good chance that some of them would be open to either you ryding with them or them going on a ride with you!

Enjoy your Spyder Ryding! :ohyea:
