• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have owned my :spyder2: two years this Sept. I was wondering if the factory or anyone else, know the number of SPYDERS made so far, each year or ? seem like they would want people to know how well the sells are going.

At a couple of the BRP events I've been to, they give an approximate number of sales (like over 10,000 or almost 13,000). I can't remember what number they said at the Chicago event. I'm guessing that Lamonster is pretty close though.

Normally I would say the factory knows exaclty how many they have sold. And though BRP does a lot of things very well they do seem to be challanged in respect to numbering. So I'd say Lamont is as close as anyone might be.

:dontknow:
Don't know if BRP is a privately held Company, or a Shareholders company?
If they're a shareholders company than they have to list production figures. [correctly]

At the owners' event in Hollywood last year, I recall a BRP rep saying there were 10,000 on the road at that time, (that might have been just in North America). I didn't make it to Chicago for this year's event, but I would have thought they might have mentioned the number again??? I also recall reading fairly recently that 22,000 were now on the road, but that may have just been someone's estimate....maybe even in one of the comments here in SpyderLovers. :dontknow: Anyway, if Lamont's guess is 20,000, I suspect that's a good estimate.
