• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any news on the Elio ????

For years, we've all been saying how the concept of the Elio was great, but the $8,400 price tag was impossible and stupid when compared to our $30,000 Spyders.
The Ryker adds a new price point to the argument.
I'm wondering if the Elio might be just a smidgen closer to being a reality.
Or does it still seem like a scam ?
On the other hand, it makes you wonder about the additional $22,000 value for an RT ?

They get a trunk and rear saddle compartments...…………………………..
:roflblack::roflblack:

I always thought the RT was way overpriced. Way over !!!!!! nojoke

Last I saw....

The last I saw Elio did not have enough left to pay the janitor to sweep out the empty wearhouse....

Elio has been very quiet the last couple years. Their last announcement (two years ago) said late 2018 production. The usual procedure was then to make another announcement in early (here 2018) and bump the production date another year or two forward.

Financial difficulties were the last information given. Less than $20K in the checkbook. Problems with acquiring the plant in LA. Nothing more than ill working prototypes. One video showed a fender falling off during a test drive in NY City.

As mentioned earlier--I am thinking they are long gone and done. It was a nice scam while it lasted.
