• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well its time to take the Spyder to Alaska next summer (2013). I'm going to ship the bike to Bellingham, Wa and then travel from there into the great big wild. I'm a Para, and will be travelling with 1 other able bodied rider on his own cycle, and was looking for any/all information anyone might have for this journey. Looking to do the Southeast Area both via ferry and roads any anybe north from there. If anyone has any good info for an enabled rider, that would be appreciated, thanks, Wheels

Congratulations on taking a road trip to Alaska. Its an experience of a lifetime!

SethO is a good contact for para road trips.

akspyderman has helped many of us on our trips to Alaska with his knowledge of the state.

I can give you a list of things that we found helpful on our Alaskan trek if you want.

Enjoy your trip and make sure to post lots of pictures.

Glad to hear you are considering a trip up here in 2013. Feel free to contact me through the site or send me a PM with any questions you may have.

To whet your appetite, may I suggest the purchase of the Milepost magazine? Most bookstores have this item and the price will vary from 20-29.00 depending on where you purchase it. Get the most recent version because things change from year to year.

I have not traveled by ferry but am familiar with all the paved roads in AK.

Let me know if I can be of any help.
