• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does the brand of antifreeze matter as long as it is a 50/50 mix? Can I pick some up at the auto parts store or should I just use brp's?

You need a formulation that is compatible with aluminum.

I am not sure where you got this information from. I look in the manual and it says nothing like this. On page 85 it says 50/50 mix. So unless some one can change my mind before tomorrow I am heading to the auto parts store to get some antifreeze.

I'm pretty sure just about all anti-freeze nowadays is aluminum compatible, which is what you need. Just get the green stuff, and if you have to mix it, use distilled water.;)

Read page 105 , That will tell you, all you need to know. ;)

well I went tonight and found:

Prestone 50/50 Antifreeze
- 50% Demineralized water
- Silicate, Phosphate, Borate and Nitrite Free
- Extended rust and corrosion protection
- Extended protection to all cooling system metals including aluminum
- Mixes with anycolor

this sounds like it meets everything that you all posted and it is the only thing that I could find that was premixed that said demineralized water I hope this is the same as distilled

thanks everyone I am going to get some tomorrow to top it off.

The big thing is never mix colors, if you have green stay with green. If you were to use the orange which is known as Dexcool it would actually react with the green and create a gel like substance causing serious problems. Easiest thing to do is get the green 50/50 premix so you don't have do deal with mixing it yourself. Even the ones that say they are compatible with any color should not be trusted unless its the same color that you have.
