• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ann broke her antenna. Snapped off at the base. 7mm deepwell socket got the base out. I read on here you could fix it. Put the antenna in the vise between wood scraps. Used a new hacksaw blade to cut off cleanly. Put base in a drill press vise, drilled out remains. There is a tiny wad of metal wool, to make the connection electrically. Put wool in brass base, tapped it onto aerial; bolted on. Works perfect, cost a few minutes of time. SL rocks! The stuff you learn here is great! Joe

wool

so when we put a shorty flexible in will the wool matter? wondered if it was the locktite I used on the staff or what but once in awhile takes forever to start receiving...don't remember even seeing it but mine snapped on way home from MV in 2013...replaced it after I got home

On a roll!

Trailer key broke off in the trailer! Took it apart, dug out the broken key, put it back together, and it worked with the spare key!! Had a new spare cut, and back in business!!

Garage door got it. I'm sure she had no idea. Normally, we hit the button on the way in to close it. I came home from work and found it on the floor.
