• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Original tires on a 2012. .... dry hot environment...... I would be leaning towards new tires, alignment, check of steering components for wear.

I'm guessing here but I think your talking about the front tires. I'd be really scared to take a long or even a short trip with 9 year old tires. Man its time for new tires. You may think about going with car tires. Several brands to pick from which most discussed here on the forum are all good choices. With only 12000 miles on the clock I wouldn't be real concerned steering components at this time. I'd say new tires and alignment will do the trick.

Front or rear? If rear you're already 5000 past their normal life! If fronts, from a tread wear standpoint they should be good for 20k+. From a quality standpoint as far as pulling to side, or getting out of balance, or cupping, or whatever, they can turn bad anytime after 1 mile! If you don't like the way they feel and handle change them. Mileage wear is the least of your concerns. The fronts on the 2013 RT I had were about ready to be changed when I sold the bike at 25k, I think it was. I replaced the fronts on my 2014 RTS at 13k because they constantly pulled to the right.

My experience with Kenda OEM tires has been consistent over the last five Spyders. 20K or so on the front tires and 9K or so on the rear tires. I just replaced the rear tire on my 2019 F3L at 13K miles (one year of riding). The fronts will give ,me another season. I put a Kenda K9 on the rear as a test.

Your Kenda's with 12K have aged out. Should be replaced at 4 - 5 years anyway. The general consensus is to go to car tires. Many threads with good suggestions.
