Motorbike Professor
Attended the Portland, Indiana scooter show Wednesday, hosted by the Vintage Motor Bike Club, of which we are members. We towed down my 1958 Simplex hotrod behind the RTS. First attempt at towing that far with the RT, and it went well. 309 trouble-free miles, with trailer, spare bike, and passenger. Nancy is getting spoiled not riding her own Spyder these days. I'll have to pile something in my passenger seat, I guess.
The trailer and the Simplex both got a lot of attention, as did the entire rig, but the RT got the most. I spent over an hour answering questions. Lots of older riders at the scooter shows, since they were raised on scooters befor the Hondas hit the scene. Many cannot ride their touring bikes well, anymore, and they are very interested in the Spyder, its features, and price. BRP can mail my commission checks to the regular address.
Here are some pics of another "Spyder prototype" I found in the show. Man, I want one of these! 1950 Salsbury Tri-Car. Cool, huh? Sorry about the one blurry pic.
