Another Passenger Footpeg Idea

I bought/fabricated a set of road peg brackets to provide an alternate position for my feet on long trips. I mounted Longhorn Offset Dually pegs. When I installed them, it looked like a simple adapter (fabricated) on the rear peg would allow me to use the same peg set to move the passenger foot peg position down and forward and provide flexibility. Here are some pictures of the install and the 1" x 1" x 3" aluminum adapter.

This looks great, and I think I will give it a whirl too, not sure how it it will take BP to have the rear peg relocator kit available. Nice one.:thumbup:

Where did you get the 1 x 1 x 3 billet block. Did you make this adapter or did you buy them. I got the impression you bought them - if so can you tell me where?

The adapters were cut from a from 1" x 1" aluminum bar cut to legnth. Two holes drilled, one to fit the pin on the bike's OEM mount and one for the footpeg. Simply cut the bar to whatever legnth you want, mark the position for the pin and drill. (Suggest a drill press for accuracy) The 1/2" hole for the pegs should be placed to assure there is no "overhang" on the base of the peg's offset piece. The pin hole is a metric drill size. I used a caliper to find the best match. You don't want this mounting hole to be sloppy.

Would not assume the right and left mounts are mirrors of each other. Measure each one.

Thanks for the info Rokonman I appreciate your help. If you start mass producing these I will buy a set from you. I'm not that well tooled in the garage department
