• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Another New Spyder Driver

ARtraveler

R.I.P. Dwayne
I introduced my friend Linda to driving the RTS on Saturday. We did the parking lot stuff with practice turns left and right, starts, stops, emergency procedures, and some neighborhood riding with no traffic.

Next we will go back to the parking lots, then the 10 mile long winding roads that go around my neighborhood.

When I feel I can turn her loose, then I will follow her on my Vulcan--it will be nice to put some miles on my two wheeler other than the commuter miles I have put on it this summer.

For someone who has never driven a motorcycle before, she did real good--and did not even scare me one time. And, YES!--she liked it a lot.

More adventures to come.

I hope you really, really, really like your Vulcan, because it sounds like Linda will be driving the Spyder from now on! :2thumbs:

Good enough to trust with my $30K baby!

I actually do like the Vulcan a lot--it is the one bike I have found out of almost 30, that fits me perfect. I can reach the ground, heft it around without killing my back, and actually have some very fun miles on it--even though it is not as luxurious as the Spyder.

Hard to say what the future will bring--will there be another Spyder in my garage? For now, the plan is to keep the Vulcan and do some rides with the vehicles I have.

5000 miles from now???????????????

Woo Hoo Linda! :2thumbs:

Give her a big hug from me!!!

Down the road, if you feel the need, Hubby is willing to chat with you about the challenges of an Independent Lady Spyder Ryder. :)
