• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Another close call! I need more reflective striping!

5-hour ride, only 1 idiot not paying attention and taking right turn in an intersection as I am passing through today, but it was at dusk and I worked the Brembos pretty hard to avoid her! I decided I need to add more reflective striping to the side of the bike to help out with visibility... every little bit helps!

You can have the whole bike from front to back lit, and you're going to find that one SOB that looks straight through you and still do something dumb. Keep your head on a swivel and your foot close to the brake! Good Luck!

Yep, yep, yep, Mikey. Just look at the stats for first responders' vehicles, fully lit, and sirens blaring, that have been hit by, shall we say, “less attentive” drivers. It also makes a bit of a mockery of those who claim “loud pipes save lives”. If you want loud pipes, fit loud pipes, but don’t try to justify it by saying it “saves lives”, as that doesn’t hold water. ;)

Gives a lot of "wow". Where did you buy it?

It is 3M680CR film. I do many emergency vehicle graphics, so I have a lot of reflective film on hand.
Any local sign shop may have it and sell you a couple of feet.
Make sure it is the CR-C that is conformable & is removable. Standard 5100 or 5800 does like to hold the curves and leaves very aggressive adhesive behind if you decide to change things up.

I installed the BRP floorboard lights and one segment failed after few months. Replaced under the 1 year warranty.
They are definitely bright and provide great side visibility, day or night.

Was rolling code 3 in a fire truck. Guy hit me right in the driver's door. Yep! You guessed it. He said he didn't see or hear me.

Glad you weren't hurt. Also glad the ride didn't suffer! In 50 years on two wheels, I went down 4 times, never serious. Riding home from a half-day run on 15/340, I had a douche cut me off then jump left, then cut me off again, and the 2nd time he jumped left I saw a wall of tractor trailer. I stabbed the brakes and downshifted like it was full auto! I came to a stop within 10 ft of the trailer. Had to pull off and collect for a moment. The idiot doing trying to erase himself was on the shoulder with another car he hit, along with a MD state trooper about 3/4 mile further on...

^^ Some Mother's do have 'em! :yikes: And now they're out there trying to kill us every time we ride!! nojoke

Mind you, chunk, that really sounds like he was trying for a bit of insurance fraud; or maybe, as you suggested, attempting suicide by motor vehicle, and not caring who else he took out along the way! :banghead:
