• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Another careless cager

This happened less than a mile from my house; Clyde and I must have came through here only minutes before this happened. I was traveling the same direction as this cager, so I would not have been in danger... but still. When I rode home at about 9, the road was still blocked. I am SO glad for the witness and the actions taken by he/she. Hope the cager gets her ass handed to her.

"Skeens was convicted in 2006 for drug possession and in 1996 she was convicted of a crime against nature, both in Catawba County".

She IS a crime against nature! :cus:

CARELESS CAGER

The witness that followed the cager and led the authorities to the cager's hiding place should be rewarded for their actions. It just irritates me to know end that people do not report crimes because they don't want to get involved!!!!

A sad situation for sure. I do hope that Skeens is prosecuted to the full extent of the law and does some serious time.

It is such a tragedy when innocent people are killed by some :cus: idiot.

DUI

It makes me so mad when a person has so many DUI's, the only time something is done to them is when they kill someone. The Law's stink when it come to being drunk or under some kind of drug, send you to class, make you pay a fine then back out on the streets to drive drunk again. This may just be me but the person who came up with Alcholism is a disease should have there butt kicked. A disease is something you get that you have no control over like a child gets Leukemia. You don't wake up one morning and your an Alcholic you make yourself one so it's not a desease. I'm sorry if other don't agree but that's how it is. You kill someone with a car and your drunk it should be murder.

:agree::clap::thumbup:
If somebody wants to sit home and drink until they can't drink anymore... and still try to... GREAT!
But nobody should be behind the wheel (Or a set of bars) after trying the stunt...

"Crime against nature"

Don't have that term up here in the Northlands legal system. What exactly would constitute a "crime against nature"? Seriously, I'm just asking...

The penalties for driving under the influence in some european countries are "zero tolerance"... you lose your license for life on the first infraction.

Here, we believe in too many 2nd chances, and even when licenses are revoked, these tools get behind the wheel anyway.

The punishment should fit the crime.

I believe there may have been a donkey involved.:joke:

Take one look at this piece of trash and you could well be right. Makes you feel bad for the Donkey...

I just hope they nail this "thing" to the wall for this one. She knew what she had done and tried to run away. This is murder, plain and simple, and should be tried as such. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

:agree: 100% and am glad there are still good people out there willing to go out of their way to do the right thing.

I am an avid believer in the death penalty. It should be simple. If you break the law, and someone dies, you die! Whatever she gets for this crime, it will not be enough!
