• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone out there has a rattle /creaking (have a 2017 RT) 800miles.This occurs when going over bumps and badly surfaced roads , have put sponge pads behind the screen brackets, but this hasn't cured it. would be grateful for any advice from you wise ones.
cheers from a cool UK:dontknow: (11 degrees)

My RT makes several interesting noises. Here's the thing. If they weren't as quiet
as a Church mouse to begin with, all or most of the noises people ask about, would not be heard.
Sometimes I think I can hear the wheel bearings rotating.
You have a great day on the other side of the pond.

Windshield Bushings

Had the same issue on my 2015. I had the mirrors off and drove it, I looked everywhere for that squeak. It almost drove me crazy. Someone on this forum told me to squirt some WD40 into the windshield bushings. I took the windshield off so I could get at them good, gave them all a squirt & the noise was gone. My dealer replaced the bushings under warranty and it hasn't happened since. If it comes back, I would try silicone first but I think there is a 90% chance it's the bushings..

i just remembered a old story. back in the 70's during my apprenticeship in my union, i drove a tow truck for a body shop at night and on weekends. a man came into the shop complaining of a noise in his car that would happen every now and then and the dealer couldn't find it. he said it was on the passenger side. the boss jimmy went for a ride and didn't hear the noise, the guy said he didn't care, he wanted jimmy to find it. well the next week when i went back to work on the weekend i asked jimmy if they ever found the noise on the guys car. he laughed and said yea. turns out they took off a few bolts from the front left fender, and found a beer can stuck in the lower part of the fender. they figure someone on the assembly line had a beer, and to get rid of the can, put it in the fender to get rid of it.

my 2012 rts does this also. I figured it was nature of the beast.

I have a sort of rattle , now I am thinking , that the fronk cover latch is making the noise , It is a loose piece of metal that the stationary latch on the cycle grabs too lock it , when you open the front trunk, give it a little shake see if you hear the rattle ! just a thought ! from a cool 60 degrees Indiana u.s.a. ;)

It was the mirrors on my RT. Just hold onto them one at a time and see if that stops the noise.

Check the end-links on your anti-swaybar: both at the bar, and where it attaches to the lower a-arm. These can loosen up over time, and "creak". nojoke
