• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

And for the Jealous "NON-Retirees...

28 years in the Electric Cooperative world. Lineman, Safety Coordinator and Loss Control and now Operations Manager. Powerline business is in my blood!!! Probably gonna hang in there 10 more years.

37 years as an Independent Insurance Agent...
I just got off of the Social (In) Security website...
If I were fortunate enough to become disabled today; I'd receive a larger benefit check, than if I waited until age 67 to retire! :gaah:

But on the Bright Side: If I work until the age of 70; it's worth almost $600 bucks more per Month...

Here's the thing..!!

retire only if you have things to do..if you retire to rest you will fall apart...:roflblack: I have seen it too many times, I retired to work on this house and there is no light at the end of this tunnel..:roflblack::roflblack:

I retired to ryde the Spyder and I am riding my dream.. in the past month put 2000 miles on my RT and 2500 miles on my F3

My wife and I are retiring in 8 years. We will be 55 at that time and are going to enjoy our retirement. Possibly move to Central or South America where there is no snow and our dollar gets the best bang or do the snowbird thing. 6 months in Canada and 6 months in Central/South America. I plan on staying busy but I will be glad to do something different.

37 Years in IT Data Centers and other High Tech Ventures. Don't know if I have 8 more years in me, but having too much fun not to try. It does put a damper on Spyder Ryding. Just 2400 Miles in over 3 years.

Hang in there, Retirement comes before you know it. Don't retire just to sit on the couch and drink beer, had too many peers do that and die in a year or two. Enjoy your retirement doing what you want. I had two more careers after I retired and the beauty part is I could leave if it got boring or drudgery.

That Light at the end of the tunnel is a train. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::thumbup:

10 more years for me

20 years Australian Army (Retired) and now have 17 years under my belt doing Project Controls in Light Rail, Capital Improvements, Engineering and currently Mechanical Piping. Looking forward to retiring and moving to where I can ryde all year round! (and maybe continue as an independent project controller a few days a week)

Glad to see that not all :spyder2: owners are retired. I was getting a bit scared there. :roflblack::roflblack:

Not fully retired, still teaching at the University, a couple classes per semester.
