• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Alaska trip of a Lifetime

Well Syclemom is almost home and I must say after observing the performance of the RTs from S.E. Texas to The Redwoods on the Pacific Coast hwy. to Alaska up the Cassiar Hwy. then down the Alcan through the Icefield Parkway through Rocky mountain N.P. now in Childress Tx. @ 106 deg. today. She has got from 30 to 39 mpg. over 10,000mi. so far , and I am impressed, gearing seems near perfect in the mountains as high as 14,000'. and as high as 50 mph. winds. We will be home in a day or two, five wks. camping me pulling our bunkhouse my wife with her LOADED trailer, I have watched her climb all passes effortlessly, she now has over 35,000 mi. and we are 550mi. from home. I talked my wife last Jan. into trading her Wing Trike on the RTs and have absolutely no regrets . Yes there are some new model issues for some but overall I think BRP hit a homer. We chopped her windshield 4" and installed the Two Bros. muffler before this trip and she prefers both mods.

WOW! Quite a trip and what a good report on the RT's. That's the kind of news we all like to hear.

Alaska trip

Do not pass on the Cassiar Hwy. as so many do, it was great scenery, NO traffic, we went up the Cassiar and back down the Alcan. Anyone in the Big Timbers Montana give a big thanks for me to "Ryders Choice" motorcycle ,ATV repair who put a rear tire on my Venture for me on a Sat. morn. at 8:00 to keep us on the road at a more than fair price. Vert nice guy , small town shop. We wound up a little over 10,500 mi. for the trip.
