• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Airhawk - What model and what size?

At the suggestions of some of the members, Bob Denman and Don from East Texas, I am planning on keeping my stock seat on my soon to be new Spyder RT LTD. I want to get an Airhawk like a lot of members have suggested.

If you have one that you use with your RT, please tell me what model you have and what size fits well on the stock RT seat. I would be interested also in why you chose the particular model (Airhawk or Airhawk 2).

BTW - This is a great forum!!! Lots of helpful members and tons of information for a newbie. Glad that I discovered this site.

Air Hawk,, get the one that is made for us men (re; package) we all carry, you will not be disappointed, I rode from Laconia NH last week, 9 hours and my butt was fine, no sores, I also bought the other model for my wife who loves it.

I have the Standard Airhawk in medium. Bought it before there was an A2. I find it is sufficient.

Remember: you sit in the Airhawk, and not on it. In other words, don't over inflate it. It takes a few miles and some adjustments to get it right for you. Once there--your good to go.

I agree..

..it really takes a small amount of air to work. If you need to adjust your mirrors: too much air. Feels firm: too much air. I find if I shift my weight to one side (read: on one cheek) and it ALMOST hits the seat under it, that is the correct amount of air.

You might check prices and sizes, etc. on Amazon.com as an idea.

Good luck.

Don

to be honest i really didn't like the hawk, i felt like i was moving all over the place no matter how hi or low the air in it was. so i went with a gel seat

I agree with cuznjohn. Sent mine and wifes back. But again there is a butt for every seat:ohyea:

Airhawk

I ride a 2012 RT Limited.
Have two Air Hawk R's.
Fits both driver and passenger very well.
Also have the utopia backrest, and the passenger Air Hawk fits nicely.
I find a minimal amount of air to be best.
