• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After your experiences with Dairyland motorcycle insurance?

I had Dairyland for years on my 2 wheelers and only paid $36 per year then I quit riding for a few years, and when I came back I signed up with them again with a much bigger but still low premium. Then I got the spyder and my premium jumped to 1300+ per year the next year I went to Nationwide at 443 per year for the same coverage. So you be the Judge.

I'm Paying $420 total for both Spyders- I have never had a claim and hope I never do from any insurance company.

When I bought my 2016 RTL I got quotes from a ton of companies, including Dairyland (did have them for a time back in my two-wheeling days) but they were way high on premiums. Found a much better deal with GEICO.

Insurance rates will vary by company from state to state and are based on many variables. Age, state risk rate, location, number of accidents, etc. etc. It is difficult to compare apples to apples on this.

Find an insurance agent you like, they will be there to help you when needed. Find a company that pays the claim when you need it and does not argue the fine points.

Been with State Farm since 1965. They have my house, three motorcycles, and car. They have always stepped up to the plate when needed. They do full coverage on each of my vehicles for between $450 and $528 per year. I am happy, and have not felt the need to shop around.

Here in Texas I have State Farm on my house and truck, but found them to be high on motorcycles.

What amuses me is when we discuss the insurance question, people find different prices from company to company, which is totally different than the next guy. I started out with Formost and found a better price with Geico, then found a better price from Dairyland, which is where I am now. I checked with all of the others and their prices, that day was higher.

There is one issue with Dairyland, their online broker/dealer is Parker Stevens, in WI, IMO their people are retards. From day one, they had entered wrong information on my policy. After a few phone calls to fix these mistakes, I bitched until, I was talking to Corp. They fixed everything and after threatening to leave, they made me a corp acct. I believe corps, real # is 888-324-7952 and you should ask for Svacina Julie [[email protected]]

I wouldn't deal with Parker Stevens again if it were free.

:agree:. It's a long story. Suffice it to say The PS agent thought an Ironhorse Trailer was a pull behind trailer. Since Dairyland doesn't insure motorcycle hauling trailers, I had to leave them. Plus, their second year rate went up signifigantly. Went with AARP/Foremost.
