• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

But seriously... Is there any interest in a Spyder that had another inch of ground clearance? That didn't need a trailer to give a pair of full face helmets inside storage ? I would give up a little ground-hugging ability, and sculptural luggage, to get some more versatility. It would be nice to not have to be so strategic about every dip and crown in the road. And...functionally... except for the frunk, the RT's luggage is really a joke. I think there is a market. Thanks for opinions either way. You folks are great. Have a safe 2015, and see you on the road. Can you go everywhere you want on your Spyder ?:banghead:

Call Harvey at Spyderpop's and get a bumpskid. I go just about anywhere I want and stopped worrying about scraping the bottom.

:hun:.....I'm confused , why did you buy a motorcycle................... ....And there are ways to get a little more ground clearance , but the RT isn't an OFF-ROAD vehicle, BRP does make things for that purpose ..............................Mike

After reading a blog about a guy who rode from Point Barrow to Patagonia on his BMW, I wanted something like that, too. But it is a ROADster, and with the 3-wheel stance it wouldn't go in a lot of places a 2-wheeler can. I decided I'd have to get my extreme adventure some other way.

It is what it is.

Can't say for the RTs, but on the GS/RSs, if you install the front Elka shocks it raises the front end a bit.

Maybe giving up the sculptural luggage will give you more packing versatility?

Sure you can go anywhere you want. Search Yazz Alaska...

Theres an app for that...!!

you can lift your roadster and add storage space as needed. So check our sponsors and hit the road. It's not an off road vehicle but can go there within limits. Those rutted roads are a bit awkward seeing as the rear wheel has no rut to run in...:roflblack: love the side roads, mountain roads, paths and lanes and traveling light. If it doesn't fit in the exsisting space it doesn't need to go. I am old and can still do laundry along the way...:roflblack: or take the old and buy the new....

As for the storage of your full face helmets, one of the side storage is bigger then the other and well fit a full face. We put one in the frunk and one on the side. (Think it is the right side):2thumbs: Of course this is only helpful when it is not a long distance ride!

Uh Oh .....gosh did you screw up.. DON'T criticize any :spyder2: on this site.. some take serious offense for doing so.. ;)

I don't think that is true at all. Some of the most serious criticism and complaints have come from Spyder owners on this site. I believe that the majority of the people (owners) here basically tell it as it is.
