• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Adding RGB hallo lighting

For those of you that installed hallo lighting, how did you mount the lights? The bottom of the RT does not have any flat surfaces other than the frame and I’d like to know how and where you were able to mount a strip light. I want to install two strips of RGB LED lights from the front to the back. I use a MC lift and don’t want anything on the frame or below the frame. The strip has about 10 wires from the controller and can’t be spliced easily. I have worked with single color LED lights and spliced as needed but I need this strip to remain as on full run down the RT.
Any thoughts or information would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I ran the strip right down the middle of the frame and use a motorcycle lift as well ! I just notched a piece of 1 x 3 to fit over the LEDs and add it to the jack. Also another good spot for the strip is on the bottom of the skid plate as well as some smaller spots on the bottom of the A arms and swing arm .

Aren't there any spots under the Tupperware where you could hide a light and have it peeking out through an opening? :dontknow:
Keeping stuff tucked up and out of the way is pretty important!

Are you installing the "chasing" lights? The standard RGB LED's I got had 4 leads. 1 for the anode, and the other 3 for R,G, and B.

I haven't installed mine yet, but also wanted to stay away from the underneath the frame. I was thinking of going under the footpeg support castings on each side.

This set of lights have a number of modes, can't remember just how many. They will chase both directions, flash, go in and out, run six colors at once, alternat between colors, etc, etc. They look good but with so many wires it makes it hard to cut and modify.

I am thinking about adding an aluminum strip from the front to the rear on each side. I would attach the strip at a few locations but make it removable for thos trips to the shop where they won't be too careful. I remember threefeet at Spyderfest 2 getting her LED's damaged when she had some mods done.

I have 5 meters of lights that are more than enough to wrap around the RT pretty good.
