• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Adding additional Driving Lights?

How can you figure out the amount of electrical voltage/current drop on a set of driving lights? Also is there a better way to connect them, as in connected to the headlights s they're always on or on a separate circuit with a switch? Trying to put them on the fender brackets so will light the area ahead of where the fenders/wheels are turned?

Depends on whether they are halogen, LED or HID.

:agree:
Your profile says that you've got a 2012... anything you can do to keep the electrical draw to a minimum, will help that 650 watt magneto keep up with the load...
Change to LED lighting for the headlights and foglights, and get yourself some good LED driving lights: you'll be happy with the results! :D

That math is beyond my paid grade , but it's not really important if you apply some common sense ... ie if you have a Spyder with the V-twin engine you definitely don't want to add stress to the electrical out-put system. Because it's pretty marginal to begin with. So as Bob D. said use LED's for lights ( any )...... The 1330 engines have lots more leeway because the elec. system has far more reserve built it....... Additional Lighting for my RT?

Thanks Mike! You're one of the " Main Men" when it comes to questions about my Spyder! And you don't make me feel stupid for asking almost any question when it's Spyder Related!

Try this....

Many motorcycle parts suppliers carry switches I believe I got mine from Beaver electric but have seen them on ebay cycle gear revzilla etc...
