• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Adding a Midland 75-822

Riding with GoldWingers that use a CB to communicate on rides, I decided to get one too. Since the Midland 75-822 with a SR10 was recommended so that is what I got. Thanks to Finless and Lyonsden I'm a go.

Mounting the unit/s seemed to be the trick, and the pictures that I saw still left some questions, so here are more pictures of how I did it. I used a piece of plastic 2.4mm/,09" thick, heated it with a heat gun and put a small curve on each side so the unit can't slide side to side. I also cut 2 slots at the top to allow the belt clip screws to get past. I put it on the right side because my cup holder is in the way on the left. I haven't had time to give it a try on a ride yet.
