• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Added Stock Cruise control to my base Spyder ST

Hey SL!

Got lucky and found a Spyder ST-S being parted out on Ebay a few months ago and snagged the right-hand grip and switch assembly. The grip was kinda useless - it was heated, which is nice, but they cut the wire removing it and while I could replace that, having one heated grip seems silly.

The switch assembly was the reason I bought it as the ST-S had cruise control. Spent a few hours this weekend and my base ST with no wire splicing, no custom work whatsoever, now has fully functional cruise control!:thumbup::ohyea::2thumbs: I think the part can still be located for about $200 new, sorry I forgot to grab the part number off the inside of the housing before I installed it. I can take the outer casing off and get that if anybody needs it.

I put together a vid in the how-to section showing the replacement process - link below.

Cheers and ride safe!
