• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My 2010 RT SE5 has been great after the initial issues until this weekend.

I decided to do a semi long ride to Boston-about 340 miles, and experienced the following:

On the way up I decided to stay overnight half way to Boston. As I pulled into the hotel parking lot at 3 AM or so , I got several warning lights. The check engine, the VSS, and I guess the angle indicator. I called a dealer, who thankfully was only 10 miles away and rode it there since upon restart there were no lights on. His computer did show the error, but he could find nothing wrong. It was as he called it, "phantom warning lights." He said on occasion communication is lost with the various modules and an error will be indicated when there is none.

As I arrived home early this AM after riding all night the machine would not shift out of 4th gear. It sort of kept making a rubbing sound like it was trying to downshift, yet nothing either automatically nor manually. THe RPMS dropped, and I was able to get it the very short distance home by revving the engine until it allowed me to move in 4th gear.

There are no warning lights at all, and it starts fine, however no gear change is possible. I will call the dealer tomorrow, and am thankful this happened as I was pulling into my development rather than at 3 AM somewhere in the CT, turnpike.

a-Will BRP pay to transport it to my dealer of choice-the one who has done all of the work on the vehicle, even though it is almost an hour from me?

b- Since it runs, will I have to get it to the dealer myself?

c- Wil they only transport it to the closest dealer-one I was not crazy about since I am not real confident about their mechanics can-am training?

Please choose either a,m b or c-none of the above is not an option.

As always an inordinately long post. I am hoping to get some insight into the issues.

Thanks All
