• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

instead of risers...how come I can't just buy new bars?....say a 5" lift and a 3 inch back position?....wouldn't it be a lot less expensive that way?....

I know there are handle bars that look like what you described, but require a special bracket to hold it on. I have seen pics on this site, so I am sure someone with them will post something. Either way with a 5 inch lift and 3 inch back position I think you would also have to replace the cables.

I just put the KewlMetal 7" bars on our spyder last weekend with the center piece. Yes you could just replace the bars, but you will have no place to put your ignition switch and steering lock. That is what the new center piece does. They claimed that the 7" bars would work without extending the cables, just cut some zip ties, GLAD TO SAY THAT IS TRUE. I did reroute some of the cables that I thought were too tight, to get a little slack.
Directions were good on the install, but the pictures on where the ties to cut were a little hard to find. I just moves the cables and followed them with my hand until I found the ties. They said tto cut them with an Exacto knife, I think that is a little dangerous, I recommend using a small wire cutting Dikes, just be sure that you are only cutting the tie.
