• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A question for those who served in the U.S. Marines.....

I was going to say former Marines, but there is no such thing.

I started my military life as a fleet sailor, then over to the SeaBees, and finished my 20 in the ANG. Tonite I was watching a series on tv, and someone who was a Marine used the term Semper Gumby. I had never heard that term in all my years in the military. Any Marines out there that used to use that term? I now know what it means- Always Flexible (on the patch is a picture Gumby).

I don't think " Semper Gumby " is a compliment ..... It's kind of like Ass and Hole ... when you combine them .... I think you get the picture....... God Bless our service men and women  and Thank you for your service ...... JMHO .... Mike

Magnum P.I. former Vietnam marine played by Barney Miller's WOJO! Max Gail. Love it when actors from past eras are used on shows!

It's used by all the services, meaning flexible.

And you are correct, there is no more 'former' Marine title. The title Marine stands forever.
