• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A few mods before first ride!

Well the snow is finally gone here in the Laurentians of Quebec! I have only had a chance to work on the Spyder on weekends, but I got a few things done. I installed my seal floorboards and they look great! Today I installed my Scorpion i900 alarm system and it went surprising well. I installed this mainly for the perimeter sensor, as I find people sometimes want to get on it without permission!:gaah:Anyway it is really nice as it goes off when someone get to close and then stops when they move away. If they continue to get closer or get on it or tilt it, it will start the alarm steady and the tail lights will flash. It can also be set to auto so it will arm when you walk away with the remote and disarm when you approach the spyder. I did not get the ignition cut off as I figure with the encoded key and the fact that the alarm will sound if someone moves it should do it! it was good to have all the panels off for the first time as it gave me an idea of the insides and allowed me check connections, belt tension etc. I also had a chance to scout out where I can place the new gopro I purchased this past winter on our cruise!:yes:and where I can stick the tethers, so I don't lose my expensive toy!:yikes:I just have Baja Ron bar,(maybe have to order the shock relocators) saddlebag scuff pads and the chrome fender accents to do and then it is riding time! It was such a long winter here in Quebec, I am hoping the summer is as long and as much sun as we had snow!! Anyway hope everyone has a great summer and many happy Spyder (S)miles!:spyder2:
