• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A couple of ?'s about the Nanny

I haven't ordered my Spyder yet (looks like that will happen at the end of October) but I have test ridden one:2thumbs:

My questions are as follows:

1. With the Traction Control how can you do burnouts like you see from the
guys on YouTube?

2. Can you turn off the Traction Control?

3. Is it physically possible to pull the front end off the ground on serious
acceleration?

4. Could you do a burnout donut with the Spyder?

Not that I'm planning on doing any of these things (;)) just wondering

Straight line up to about 35mph does not kick in the Nanny.

2. Can you turn off the Traction Control?
No, not yet.

3. Is it physically possible to pull the front end off the ground on serious
acceleration?
No.

4. Could you do a burnout donut with the Spyder?
No... Nanny will prevent it.

See bold above.

Thanks ATADude!

Some guy at my work was saying BRP was at a recent Cycle event and they stopped letting people test ride because certain individuals were pulling the tires off the ground. I didn't really think that was possible.

On #4, is that because of the Stability Control System?

Thanks again,

Mark

In a curve, at speed, it will lift a wheel, but then the nanny kicks in, c'mon, I'm almost 67 years old, do I NEED a nanny?
