• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

600 mile inspection...

sinkhole

New member
I left Huntsville Wednesday morning with 575 miles on the RT headed for Charranooga (110 miles away) for my first oil change/inspection, and then up to Bristol, Va. to meet my brother who was driving down from northern Va. on his Goldwing.
The night before leaving, I checked the tire pressure and decided I would check the rear suspension air pressure... it was zero. I pumped it up and marked the antenna position on a wall cabinet. Wednesday morning the bag was down to zero again. I pumped it back up and headed out.
When I got to the dealers, I mentioned the two obvious problems I had, which were a warped hood, and the airbag. They told me that there was a modified fitting for the airbag that they would have to order along with the hood.
Got a call today from the dealer telling me that both parts were backorderd with no release date shown.
The remainder of my trip went well, and I now have 1250 miles on the RT.

airbag...

I evidently had been riding it for the first 500+ miles with no air in it and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. The only time I feel anything at all is when I ride over something like RR tracks. It sort of feels like when fully depressed it tends to bottom out. Normal riding feels normal. I'm not about to leave the RT sitting while I wait for BRP to conjure up the parts.
If it were cooler here, I'd dig into the system myself to see exactly what is going on.
