• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

50 state spyder???

I was wondering if spyder was a 50 state emission vehicle or did brp made California spyders seperatly?
I want to trade in for 2012 but I am not in Cali right now. Dealer says I can ride out with 90 day tag and register anywhere but I know that vehicle has to have 7500 miles in order to be able to register in Cali if it's not a Cali emission vehicle. If I bought this spyder in AZ with temp tag with Cali address and put 7500 miles on it, would having Cali address on temp tag have adverse effect? Like not being able to register in Cali at all?

Thank you in advance

The dealer should be able to tell you if the Spyder is compliant in either all 50 States, or just all of the others... :gaah: New York also gets the California emissions package, so we've also got to be careful about what we're looking at before we pull the trigger on a purchase... DON'T let the dealer try to talk you into it; someplace on the bike or in the paperwork it'll say just how it's configured regarding emissions...
Good luck!

The Spyder is 50 state.,

Look under the seat. I think that is where they mounted the emissions label. 50-state as I recall.

I think there are now 15 states that have adopted the California emissions standards. One would have to assume the Spyder complies with them all.

Thank you and My spyder says us and cal emission but one in showroom just says us.
They have the same nox? Emission Or whatever that was of .8
Dealer says spyders are 50 state vehicles.

Anyway, Ride Now has the spyder market pretty much cornered here. No wonder that other member was saying they don't do much negotiating here.
