• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

3'x5' Flag Mounts for RT

I have read the threads concerning the ISCI Dual Flag Mount, but it appears that this is for smaller flags. I want to be able to use 3'x5' flags. So, the question is: will the ISCI dual flag mount handle the larger flags? We have had our 2013 RT-S SM-5 for a whole month now (215 miles so far!) and we are new motorcycle riders (of any kind!) but we want to show our colors! Ok, I'm retired Navy and Chris is also a vet (USNR) and from a Navy family! So, Please let us know - we are greatful for your help! Thanks!

Flag mounts

If you have a hitch( you REALLY NEED a hitch for the big flags) you have a real good chance of finding something that will work. Try the American Legion Flags and (medals?) page. Forgot what the rest of that was. Anyway either buy already made or get a welder friend to build a holder. They weigh more and the wind in them can really mess up the"tupper ware" on the bike. The holders have to be angled away from the bike as the bike bounces but the hitch does NOT. soo any flag attached to the hitch doesn't pound on the trunk lid that angle is needed. The big flags are more for parades and funerals if you are PGR. (Patriot Guard Riders or American Legion or VFW etc) That kind of thing. Good luck on finding the right one for you.

:agree: that you will need a trailer hitch (preferably BRP's) to fly 3' x 5' flags. After that, check some of the sponsors on Spyderlovers home page (Seal and Webboards) to see what they offer.................good luck on your hunt! :2thumbs:

I made this for my old RS (I had the after market hitch), and I was able to fly a 3 x 5 flag @ 75 mph with no issues. I took a 6 foot 5/8 threaded bar, use nuts, and washers to hold on the clips. To make it look good I slid the pole from a cheep flag pole over the threads, and bolted it onto the hitch.
