• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

3RD DAY OF OUR DURANGO TRIP

Headed up to Silverton this am. The trip up was beautiful. full sun and great scenery. Arrived and found parking, crowd gathered and I had to spend 20 mins talking about the Spyder. Lunch was great at the Grand Saloon. The trip back turned ugly. I saw the dark clouds gathering as we reached the summit. We cross over and the rain became a downpour, then it turned into hail some of it the size of a nickel. Actually cut my shin right through the bluejeans. Tonight we are to explore the Diamond Belle Saloon, I'm sensing a pattern.

Great pic's

Love the tain pictures. Remember hearing the trains while I was in Estes Park Grew up in south america hearing them so they always bring on memories...Looks like a great trip...:2thumbs:

If you are staying in Durango a few more days, I strongly recommend having dinner next door at the Mahogany Grille. Also a part of the Strater Hotel. A favorite of locals, they specialize in wild game. Highly recommend the Elk Tenderloin. We are in Durango several times a year, have a vacation home there and always make time for the Mahogany Grille.

DURANGO

Thanks, but we are no strangers to this area. In fact for almost 20 years we would visit some area of Colorado. The off years were spent in other states. We've RV'd is all the lower 48. Just thought the Spyder would make this trip a more personal visit to the Rocky Mountains versus sitting is an RV.

We did the RV thing for many years and finally decided to move on and sell it last year. We just found that traveling on the Spyders is far more enjoyable for us to do together. Not to mention MUCH cheaper in the long run.

Dinner at the Mahogany Grill

Lucked out, found a parking spot right in front of the entrance to the Grill. Watched about 50 people staring at the Spyder as we ate. Food was fantastic, yes I had the Elk tenderloin. We depart today for Ouray and dinner tonight at the Outlaw. Pics to follow tonight.
