27000 mile service

I've started planning ahead for my 27000 mile service. ('15 RTL) I've already ordered the spark plugs, trans, evap, oil & fuel filters, oil & coolant. Are there any known problem areas to look at while I've got it disassembled? I'm talking about whether or not anyone is finding cracks, or that a certain bolt always works its way loose. That kind of thing.

You forgot air filter. You should check the sprocket driving the belt for red rust stains indicating spline wear. Check brakes, battery cables.

+2 on flushing the brake fluid if you havent had it done in the last couple of years..

+2 on flushing the brake fluid if you havent had it done in the last couple of years..

I did the brakes already using BUDS at the two year mark. You'd be amazed at the color of the crap that came out of the ABS unit.

Your maintenance schedule says the air filter is due for change at 19,000 miles (unless you've switched to a K&N). If you did not do it at 19 you should add it to your list. If you note in the online operator's guides for the 2017 model year BRP extended the change interval for the fuel filter from 19K as specified in the MY 2014-2016 guides, to 28K miles but the fuel filter is the same part number. I asked BRP to confirm that the same part number fuel filter could be extended to 28 vice the 19 and they told me to ask my dealer. Dealership said I could extend it. Big BRP help, but I'm extending it and doing my next one in the spring when I hit 56K.

Yes I did the air filter at 19k. It's been my experience with numerous vehicles that fuel filters can go a long time, but for about $15 I figure it's cheap insurance.

The hardest thing I found about changing the fuel filter, and it wasn't really that bad, was the clamp that held the filter in place had an acorn nut on one side, the innermost side, and U had to get everything turned around to get a hex wrench on it to loosen the clamp. The fuel lines have no slack in them so you can't pull out a couple of inches to get working room.
