• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2022 Sea to Sky RT won't shift properly - any ideas??

Just traded my 2019 RTL for a brand new Sea to Sky. When I took delivery I noticed that the bike didn't shift correctly. When coming to a stop it doesn't consistently shift to 1st gear and about half the time tries to shift to first but stays in 2nd the other half of the time it shifts properly either automatically or on demand. Also, when shifting from 2nd to 3rd it will sometimes shift immediately and sometimes requires three or four times before shifting to 3rd. All other shifts both up and down are fine and consistent. Dealer, Marine World, Wichita, Ks, checked codes and is waiting to hear from BRP as to their suggested solution but cannot get anyone at BRP to even answer the phone. Seems like it just needs an adjustment or maybe a replacement solenoid for the shifter. Does anyone know how to get through to BRP. It's time to ride and my new bike is locked up at the dealer. I think that BRP monitors this site so I posted in hope that they will see this post and respond to the dealer.

Two possibilities the Paddle shifter mechanism ( quite a few folks have had this issue on the newer Spyders ) or possibility the Gear position sensor ( but I doubt it ) ..... good luck .... Mike

They might monitor, but to date, there's been absolutely NO evidence nor even the slightest inkling that 'corporate BRP' ever reacts proactively to help & reach out to the dealer as a result!

So I wouldn't be holding your breath on that happening.... if you want them to take notice, do a search here on 'BRPCares' & drop them an email explaining your situation & asking for their help in opening a case to get it resolved - there's a very good chance they'll respond, but from what you've told us, if it's not one of the things Mike suggested above, then it sounds a whole lot like you've got another one of the dud LH Multi-function Handgrips that are plaguing the 2018 & on Spyders, and it appears that the only solution to that is a complete replacement.... when/if the replacements ever become available again?! :dontknow:

Good Luck!
