• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2022 RT-L dead, despite good power - still under warranty!

So, I went to head over to Daytona at 4am and the trike is beyond dead, I got 13.5 volts at the battery, I've got 13.5 volts
coming out of both fuse/relay boxes.
No dash illumination/no crank/no nothing and Yes, the Kill Switch is in the Run position and my foot is on the brake.
Horn blows/brake light works and Emergency Flashers work. I've tried everything my 31+ years as a mechanic knows.

Seeing it's under warranty, I'll let the dealer worry about it.

I hope AAA will tow it.

Sounds a bit grim!! :banghead:

Just on the off chance... .... Have you tried flipping the Kill Switch on & off a few times?? There have been a few Spyders relatively recently that've had Kill Switch failures, but some of those seemed to work OK/again if agitated enough... :sour: Worth a shot maybe, if you haven't already?!? :dontknow:

When you hit the starter button is there power hitting the starter solenoid? Maybe trace it back from there, if there's power to that point then go backwards or forwards depending on what you find! I hate electrical gremlins. Good Luck! There seems to be a lot of people having control pad problems with the newer bikes.

I think the key here is the dash not lighting up. No matter where the kill switch or the mode button are set the dash should light when the key goes on.

Slice, I hope it's no problem for you getting it to the dealer and I hope hooking it to BUDS will pinpoint the cause.

so upon further trouble shooting if i jiggle the key in the ignition everything comes to life.
it appears that i have a bad ignition switch.
turn key off and on dead again .... jiggle and it's alive , rinse repeat.

wonder if dealer will give me a new switch. i can only imagine the wait time to have it fixed
