2021 RT side bag locks missing - where can I get new locks re-keyed?

I went away on a weeklong ride and discovered that both of my locks for the side covers were missing. The bike is out of the factory warranty. So, I bit the bullet and bought two of them, and now I am having a hard time getting them re-keyed. It seems that none of the locksmiths in my area want to re-key locks. I read that somebody here on the forum had his lock rekeyed.

If I install these locks, I will have 4 keys - 1 with the chip; 1 for the top case; 1 for the left side; and 1 for the right side. I have a key problem. I was trying to get the new locks keyed to the top case, so I only have 2 keys.

Thats strange, locksmiths in my area did mine.

A locksmith who knows what he (she) is doing is a real treasure. And about as hard to find as gold or diamonds.

I am having issues with locksmiths in Minnesota not willing to re-key a cylinder.
How do I locate the locksmith who you utilized?

Just wondering how did the locks fall out and what holds them in something we needed to check once in a while?? Maybe check with a car dealer ship see if they can rekey them or know someone who can just a idea. Good luck

Not sure why any locksmith could not do this. Try taking it to a locksmith that rekeys locks and don't tell him that it's for a Spyder unless he ask's when you're there.

It takes less than 1/2 hour from start to finish.
