There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 2019 F3s SS Blue Ridge or 129 windshield

That sounds great. I haven’t completely converted my wife to a Spyder lover....yet. Haha. Getting a second one would be nice but i would have to wait to lick my wounds from this purchase! As you already know, its not a cheap investment. Trying to figure out “must haves” for accessories first

I did forget to mention +1 to lights. I didn't get auxiliary (fog) lights but am ordering a set of LED headlights and auxiliaries from Lamonster ASAP! Oh yeah I am definitely licking wounds on this one as you say. Wife is eager to start her teaching career and then buy it “on her own”. So I simply smile and say, “You go girl!” :roflblack:

How tall are you? I’m 6’2 and i was concerned about buffeting. I heard that’s a problem with the Blue Ridge windshield? I also do not like the look of the F4 customs windshield as it takes away from the look of the bike IMO (too tall). I understand it for the Limited’s or RT’s but the F3SS is somewhat of a different look and animal. I didn’t want to take away from that Sporty Mean MF look with an extra large windshield. Help! Haha

For me at 5' 10 the buffeting was unbearable, thats why I started cutting (suggestion of another member here) my blueridge until buffeting was gone. So now it's longer than 129 and shorter than stock blueridge, never looked back. If you are looking for an aftermarket one Madstad I thing is the least intrusive in terms of the looks.

No idea where to begin with cutting...maybe go for the 129 then? After market shields are way to big and take away from then look of the bike IMO

I'm 6'2" and use a Madstad windshield. I bought (2) screens. One is a 14" dark gray for everyday/sportiness of the F3-S. The other is a 20" light gray for trips. The Madstad has the ability to adjust up/down/front/back. The dark gray works well.

Hi all I have a 2017 F3s-Daytona. It came with a gauge spoiler that was for looks only. I put on a 129 and love the looks and is great in the summer, but in winter I wanted more protection, so I got a Gustafsson because it took the standard 129 hardware. Love the Gustafsson in the winter for the protection but love the 129 for looks. That my 2 cents.

that's hilarious. I cut my blueridge down to 129 height for the same reason and dipped it black. The buffeting was so bad i couldn't see. Now i just have my helmet in the wind and the air off my lower body and I can tuck under it at high speeds. An F4 windshield may be a good compromise as they are adjustable. I can't bring myself to add a huge windshield to my spyder. Defeats the purpose IMO.

After some research I bought a Gustafsson 17’ light smoke Bronze. The Bronze was suggested because I have the 2019 F3S Special series and Zac (owner) said it would pop. Great people. Also if I got it and decided the slight tint wasn’t for me, I could exchange it for clear. I got my ass kicked with a 129 on 3+ hour trip the other day and I wasn’t looking for a repeat performance. Thanks for everyone’s help and advise.

Don't shy away from the aftermarket parts as quality is not an issue (at least in my experience). I went with the Madstad windshield which is adjustable (up/down/angle/quick disconnect) which was a huge selling point and cost way less than oem that had no adjustability. Back rest the same, went with smoothspyder so that if i ride solo I use the back rest, and if the wife comes i adjust it for her use. There are some amazing aftermarket fabricators out there than can help customize your bike to what YOU want it to do. I find the oem parts to be way overpriced and limiting.
