• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Here's the housekeeping post. ;)

Please make sure that you read and follow the directions in the READ FIRST! Sticky (& all the posts in that thread) that's found at the top of this forum and linked below:

paying particular heed to:
  • the need for regular posts from you, adding to the thread (& not just edits of the first post!) in order to keep the Ad alive;
  • if you add any pics (and you really should, if you want to sell!), the need to insert no more than 6 images per post as thumbnails iaw the 'Please upload, attach, and insert any pics/images as Thumbnails' Sticky if you want everybody to be able to view them/your Ad, leaving at least a space or three between each image (having at least one pic in your opening post of the Ad/thread will mean that your Ad will have the first pic shown in your Ad's 1st post appear on the index page - which helps get viewers to look at what you've got/on offer; and posting an extra pic or two in new posts added to the Ad/thread regularly over the coming weeks will satisfy the first point above ;));
  • do not discuss prices, payment, payment methods, or negotiate at all on the public pages, use the Forum's DM facility to exchange contact details &/or conduct any/all negotiations; and
  • the need to properly finalise the Ad by marking it Sold once you've finished with it, even if you haven't actually 'sold' anything, don't want to sell any more, or just don't need the Ad any longer! ;)
Ps: By putting your price in the text of your Ad, you'll likely get more readers come on in to have a look; and it'll be easier to change your price (without leaving evidence of your despair) if you decide you want/need to down track (just don't change it too soon, not unless you want to take forever to sell at a bargain basement price! :cautious:)

Good Luck with your sale. (y)

As for this bit -
...

I will post picture as soon as I figure out how to make thumbnails on windows 10.
All help, advise, appreciated.....

You don't need to 'make thumbnails on windows 10', all you need to do is to be able to find your pics/images on your device after clicking on the 'Attach Files' link below the text entry field whenever you're entering a new post or editing an existing post - doing that should open your devices file directory in order for you to find and select the pic/s you want to attach/upload to your post. Once you find the picture file/s you want on your device, select them, and then the last thing you need to do on your device is upload/attach them to the post, which you generally do by clicking on whichever button your device/software uses - it's usually 'Open', Upload', or maybe 'Attach'! Once that's done, the software should bring you back to your post here, or you might need to close that file directory window in order to make your way back to your post here; and then, you carry on as per the listed instructions in the 'Please Upload...' Sticky - but once selected/attached, you finish all the uploading and inserting of your pics by following the directions to Insert them as Thumbnails using the Forum's software! ;)

So after finding them on your device and clicking on 'Open' or 'Upload', it's ALL down to the Forum Software - you just need to follow the numbered directions in the Sticky and make sure you put your cursor where you want each pic to appear; then click on the word Insert that should be showing in the top left of the attached pic (or will once you select it...) upon which it'll change from 'Insert' to show the word 'Thumbnail' above the word 'Full Image'; and THAT'S where you ALWAYS click on the word 'Thumbnail', cos that then does all the converting, inserting, and attaching work for you!! After that, you can rinse & repeat for any more pics you want to insert (please, only 6 per post tho - you can always add another post to the thread) but if you finish your post, then hit 'Post reply' and you can then still see the word 'Attachment' above your pic, or if you see your pic as a full sized image any bigger than the small image in the Sticky, then you probably didn't finish the job properly, usually by missing out on following the numbered steps in the Sticky from #3 on!

Here's the 'Please Upload...' Sticky:

I might be a bit slow in responding this week, but if you have any hassles getting this sorted, drop me a DM and when I can, I'll try to help! ;)

https://www.resizepixel.com/ Will resize larger photos so they can be posted. 500x600 or so works well.
