• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Power to the switch, but power out? may just be dirty or bad switch, loose connection even.
after looking at manual there is not a relay just a 20A fuse

In testing the motor isolate it if you can so power does not back feed to other components. Sorry I can't test more at moment my parking spot isn't well enough for testing in the rain :coffee:

Thanks Bfromla for the quick response, ive been working on this problem for a month now there is power to 3 prongs of the switch but No power to the 2 wire connectors that power the motor VERY Frustrating ughhhh.thought there might be a relay that is causing this problem but guess not.Any idea if the switch at bottom of cable pulley has anything to do with powering the motor? when i do manually attach power to the motor pulley does move and trip bottom switch to light on dash and when i reverse power pulley turns other way and light on dash goes off.just cant figure this thing out thanks again for any leads on this problem.

The parking brake motor is not controlled by a relay. It is controlled by the parking brake module. The switch is only an input to the module along the limit switch on the motor cam. It is also connected to the Canbus.

The switch is double pole and one side working is not good enough. Make sure both circuits work.
Check the limit switch. That is often a common problem. The bracket or switch arm can get bent. Causing the switch not to work properly.

Picture from manual.

From the service manual.

Don't remember if it was on the left or right side. See top of the coil over shock in the pic.

It's behind the cluster. Be careful applying power to the brake motor as you can burn it up in a heartbeat. Go to the below link. Item #697 on the parts drawing.

Well that makes more sense. The picture in the service manual is obviously bogus. The wiring diagram also says it's in zone 2 and that's the cluster area.
Thx guys I'm learning more about it either way:popcorn: if the rain lets up ,I can go test
