2012 RT down shift auto

We have a 2012 RT and twice now it has not down shifted on its own when we came to a stop. It was
stuck in 5th and had to shift manualy. Did it once when new and on the last ride one time, it has about
3,000 miles on it now. Any one had the same issue?

She said it was a quick stop, oil level is fine, it has oil from the dealer in it now. Must be a nature of
the bike with quick stops. Thanks for the help

only one time it was one of those last second, that traffic light skipped yellow, deals.

50 to ZERO in 50 feet stops so quick the ABS activated.

As weird as it sounds check your oil levels and bring them up to 100%.

have to agree with checking your oil level and condition. Don't know what oil you are using or when your last oil change was but worth considering. Also the quick stops...:dontknow:

I think that the vacuum lines on a bike that's got some age to it are known to deteriorate and cause shiftingissues also... :shocked:

Have seen some transmission filters (the old short type) that looked like they were crushed when they were removed for an oil change. The tech said that he has seen that a few time when they got clogged. It did not seem to be time related just junk related.​
