2011 RT Limited Brake Fluid

Maybe someone can help me. I checked my brake fluid reservoir (there are two-side by side), on the reservoir near to the battery a white small cup/filter? was floating in the top of the fluid. I believe with a needle-nose pliers can be remove, but where that part/filter? goes? Thanks.

I'm not 100% certain but I think it is part of the cap itself. (Like a liner or something like that). It might have come loose. It seems to me that I have seen this before
but my Spyder is still in storage and I can't get to it right now to check. Hang in there my Spyder friend and someone will chime in

That is probably the fluid height sensor. The float is round and white and I would not pull it out.

That is exactly what I saw inside the reservoir, I really appreciated for the pic.
