Not sure about the Adirondacks spyder fest.... might not be able to make that.

Don't know if I'll be able to make the Owners event. I've checked some websites for information and it looks like a very beautiful area. What I've seen and been able to read so far doesn't give me a good lay of the land, e.g., Travel times between lodging locations and the host site, etc.. If I am able to make it, where would be a good place to stay? Any information from those in the know would be appreciated. Thanks.

Maggie Valley is full of Motels, and other places to stay and eat. Wheelsthroughtime is a wonderful museum there. You might try their web site for information on stuff in general.

I am staying at the Travelowe"s motel. I have stayed there before. It is a clean, family style place, good parking with nice people running it. They close for the winter, but are taking phone reservations at (828) - 926 - 1732. they take vacations in winter. so it may take a couple days to get back to you. Made mine.

:agree: not real excited to attend the Adirondacks spyder whatever... Gatlinburg spyders in the smokies died.
Oly thing was the peeps and their togetherness and fun, but the event..well !!!!!!!:gaah:

we went through the Adirondacks a few years ago in October....beautiful....I believe Hwy 2 went up the mountain....enjoyed
