• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2010 RTS SE5 Oil change

You might also want to watch this one as well.

as a tip when you go to remove the drain plugs from the bottom of the engine make sure that your allen wrenches (hex key) are ALL the way into the bolt head. It is easy to think they are and then strip the heads out.
Baja Ron a sponsor here sells all you need to do an oil change, including oil,tho I use a different oil. The washers on the drain bolts are not crush washers but simply copper washers. They can be reused but if that makes you nervous Baja sells them. You can get the change kit from him with or without the washers.

This is a good video on removing the body panels, you will need to remove some.

Good Luck. Oil Change is easy, just time consuming. So go easy take your time and enjoy getting to know your Spyder better.

Heads Up

Is there a how to video to change the oil on a 2010 RTS SE5?

Make sure you keep the filter caps and their respective screws/bolts separate and in the correct order for reassembly(oil / trans). A good idea for not mixing them up is to color code one cap and its screws, along with the same color or mark in the area where it mounts. One filter cap set has longer screws than the other and will certainly ruin your day if you put the short screws where the long ones belong.
