• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1st Post! I did it and it's all your fault!

I’ve been lurking for quite some time now and finally have a reason to post. The Spyder has been on my mind since the first time I saw it, however it was a big process to buy one. I had no place to keep it because my wife uses the only garage. So I decided I could buy an enclosed trailer to keep the Spyder in and haul it places I also want my car. Well I didn’t have a car that could pull a trailer...

So… an angry wife, a new car, a new trailer and a Silver 2009 Spyder SM5 are finally home.
I picked it up on Saturday, I asked the dealer to make sure the steering recall was completed before I picked it up. I got the deer in the headlights look, but they happily looked into it and had it finished at pick up. Thanks to this forum I was confident in what I was talking about. Thanks everyone!

I had intended to wait until the 2010 model came out to see if there were any improvements worth having. After seeing the new $1000 rebate for accessories and the extra year of warranty on this site I just couldn’t wait any longer. I hope I don’t regret it.

Sorry for the long first post, but I’m happy to finally be part of the family. I hope to meet many of you at Spyders in the Smokies in September.

Welcome new Spyderlover...get the BEST warranty...will save you any potential headaches down the road...once 60 days passes, the price just about doubles!

Save a lot of money for all the mods you are going to add...you might as well call Evan at NMN/ESI...get used to him...you'll be ordering a lot of his light upgrades and other cool mods!

welcome and :congrats: for your :spyder:. We'll see you at events planned in Tampa

Got mine too on Saturday!!

:congrats::congrats: This site has been a very valuable resource to me, and to many others. Enjoy the Ryde

You're going to love your new Spyder. Ease your wife into the concept and start saving for a 2nd one.

I'm wondering if a new garage would have been cheaper than the car & trailer....

HA HA!!! You're hooked just like the rest of us!!!

I would say welcome but I couldn't find a smiley for "welcome new Spyder addict!"

:congrats: Take her out for a few rides and she will cool off. Fortunately I have no wife so I get any bike I want.
