• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does BRP have a dealer show like other bike makers? If so does any one know when it is scheduled?

I was at my dealer today. And, I mentioned the '09 Spyder. Would there be any changes, etc,,,? He thought, if anything, they may add some additional colors. But, that was about it. He didn't think any real changes would come for another year or two.

Where? When? I wanna see 'em!!

Don't hold me to this, but I think he said it was going to be in Las Vegas. Don't know the exact dates, but mid-Sept. is what I was told. Any dealers on the forum who could confirm this? :dontknow:

Im still waiting for my SM5 RED! I guess by the time I do get it, it could be considered a 2008/09 model. I have been to the BRP dealer show's for the new model year SkiDoo's. Last spring when I went to check out the new 2009 SkiDoo lineup, they had the new 2008 Spyder on display as well. That was the first Spyder that I had a chance to look at and sit on. That along with all the new SkiDoo's are all cool to look at. Get teased enough and you eventually end up buying something that gets your interest. It takes a lot of $$$$ though!

I am very much looking forward to the 09 models. It will be interesting to see if they have corrected any of the known problems that were prevelant during the 08 model year.
