• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Make sure and check all lug nuts and caliper bolts.

What do I do to read Ryker fault codes to see what's happening?

How to read the fault code using the multifunction Gauge Note: A fault code must have the "Active" state to be displayed in the multifunction gauge. Other fault code states must be read using the BRP diagnostic software (BUDS2). If a fault is detected, an indicator light and a fault message may...

Did my own 3000 mile oil change - not a big deal

A 2021 is likely out of warranty anyway.

2020 Stinger Trailer fish-tails while empty - anyone else? Ideas?

Reduce tire pressure when towing empty. Fill them back up when you load it. The difference will amaze you.

Any ideas on what this intermittent check engine light might mean?

Check to see if any codes are being logged. Sounds like minor fuel starvation. You do not mention your mileage. Fuel filter change time?

I’m getting frustrated with the belt vibration - any ideas to help?

Could be belt vibration. Some add a dampener.

Any reason NOT to buy a 2012 RT Limited?

I loved my 2012 RT-S, which I bought new. It eventually became an issue for services and parts. Many of our local dealerships will not take in service request for Spyders more than ten years old. Parts have been sold off to a third party, but are still fairly available. For how long is...

My new '23 F3 showed Trans Fault & Limp Home - Warranty Work!

This is my second Spyder, and I also have a Ryker Rally. “back on the road quickly” is not a term I would associate with Can Am repairs. Parts seem to always need ordering. You would think by now that some parts would be stocked, but that has yet to be the case.

My new '23 F3 showed Trans Fault & Limp Home - Warranty Work!

My 2023 F3, purchased in early March, displayed Transmission Fault and Limp Home, along with several codes. Less than 1500 miles. Turns out to be a failed Speed Sensor. Part on order. UPDATE - Picked up from shop this afternoon. Rode home in 116° heat. Like new again. Turn around time was 16...

Looking for a good Portland, Oregon dealer - any recommendations?

Try Pro Caliber in Vancouver WA. They are one of the top dealers in the region. Shawn Smoak is a Master Certified mechanic there. They usually have a fairly good inventory. I think they also have a dealership in Bend.

Want to make it easier to remove the bugs - what wax should be used, if at all?

I wash with Chemical Guys Foam and wax with Turtlewax Ice.

Ridenow Powersports Jacksonville will not service - any bike shops that will?

Ridenow in Surprise Arizona made an exception and took in my 2012 RT-S. They threw parts at it for almost six months. I wound up trading it in. A month later and it is for sale on their website.

Will there be a Spyders in the Ozarks Rally in 2024?

Not this year. Lamont’s health requires focus in the short term. I think a bunch of people plan to show up in the area anyway.

Any hints/info on S2S Tank Badge Removal?

That 99 badge is all about the Sea to Sky highway that the bike is named for.

Ryker has a Vibration at 60mph - is this common? Any upgrades or fixes?

Tires might be a little flat spotted from sitting too long. A good warm afternoon lengthy ride might even help.

2012 RT SE5 starts OK then shuts down when 1st or R selected - ideas?

The hydraulic control module is pretty sensitive to low oil condition. That model year twin goes through a half quart every 1200 miles or so. I would be tempted to add some oil and see if things change at all.

SE6 wont go into first gear - anyone else? What was the fix?

Check oil level. Hydraulic Control Module can get fussy when oil gets low.

My Spyder journey - Harley RoadKing to Spyder RT

A very heartwarming story of recovery and compromise. Many will find this to be an encouraging story. I did.
