• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    I am now Spyderless

Well, somehow I missed this back in February, so I'm late to the party. I, too, am coming to that time when I will be taking my last ride. I am very sorry to hear of your situation, but I completely understand. Most of my riding friends have quit, gotten too old, sick, or just plain passed on...

What Phone/GPS Holder works with the early RT Handlebars?

I used 2 hose clamps to hold a straight ram mount to the handlebar. Works great. I'll take a picture and post it. Oh... it was also very cheap!

Where to find the RT-L Air filter - it's not where my Owner's Manual suggests!

The Proof-readers and translators are not always at the top of their game at BRP. They are also known to get lazy and just cut and paste information from previous models, even if it doesn't fit. Glad you found the right information. Too bad you can't just change the filter on your lungs and get...

Just wanted to share the unbridled joy and ease of riding the Spyder!

I have been on my Spyder for 10 years and 80,000+ miles. I came to the Spyder thru a Honda Conversion that I rode for 4 years. I saw my Spyder KSL.com a local sales platform, sold the Goldwing and never looked back. I was 68 and just recovering from an accident that put me and my wife in the...

Have you experienced any Road rage incidents?

It was 2 o'clock in the morning coming home from work. I just wanted to be home. No traffic, no Highway Patrol, and No cell phone. I took the easiest way out. He had gotten in front of me, so I slowed down, and at the next exit, I waited until it looked like I was going to cruise past, then...

Have you experienced any Road rage incidents?

Not on the bike or on the Spyder. I did once in the car several years ago, but I managed to sneak off an exit and get away.

First ride after adding seat gel hoping for more comfort, but nope, no change! What to do? Anybody made theirs better?

I don't know what brand of gel pad that you used. I used a gel pad from Motorcycledave.com. His pad is designed to go under the seat cover so as not even to be seen. When I mounted mine I also shaved away a little of the edge so as not rub on the insides of my thighs. I ran this pad for many...

Any thoughts on Ground clearance on the RTL?

There is no such thing as "Darkside" on a Spyder. The rims on a Spyder are "J" type rims and require a "J" type bead, the same as a car tire. Your new Spyder, despite what the sidewall may say, comes with a very flimsy car tire. When you wear it out, which will be soon enough, replace it with...

2025 Demo rides are on their way!!

After looking at the map of available demo sites it appears they don't expect to sell many Spyders West of the Mississippi.

Damage to belt - any advice on changing it out?

What you see after that 500 miler will tell you what you need to know. "Trust but verify"

Almost back in the saddle - who else is still here from 2012-13?

Hi Bill. I am still here also. Altho I joined in 2012 I didn't do much until 2015 when I bought my 2012. I still have it and still ride it but not as much as before. Age is creeping up on me , but it is better than the alternative.

Who out there has Removed their Zumo mount and wiring? Use it for USB/phone?

My 2012 Garmin (660 I think) works great but I would like to remove it and replace it with a Carpuride 702 to bring things into a more modern age. Are any of the current wires that go to the Garmin usable with the Carpuride?

Here's my Battery cover access upgrade.

You can probably go down to the local hardware store and find those knobs individualy that just fit over the heads of the torx screws. They should be pretty cheap. We used to use those on our Ventures to not have to get a wrench to take off the seat. Take a screw with you to see if it fits.
