• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Simplest, low cost black exhaust options

The hindle will fit your spyder, but probably not the best choice. The rivets on the heat shield are notorious for coming loose and letting the heat shield rattle like crazy, mine has a couple of times and I just beat on the rivets til it tightens up again. the baffle also came loose, but I just...

    Anybody have the monoseat cowl?

Definitely makes it look a lot better, and you can get them on ebay occasionally for a lot less than retail. Unless you have a sport rack, then it looks goofy, the lines don't look right.

going downhill shifted to 1st, engine quit. now it stayed in 1st, wont start sts-se5

Your fault codes are for 2 different O2 sensor heaters, the crank position sensor, the fuel pump circuit, the purge valve, and the pre-start relay according to the spydercodes app. With so many faults occurring at once, I would guess a blown fuse or a relay that came unseated. Check all fuses...

    BRP HID Installation

I never could find a good one when I installed mine, but the instructions it came with were surprisingly thorough and accurate. I can't remember it all, but I know you have to pull the frunk and several panels, remove the entire dash/headlight/cowl assembly off, and change a wiring harness...

    Rear fender question.....again

Half as short would mean a lot more water on your back, and if you leave off the goofy reflectors it really fits the look of the bike. Also includes a belt guard. They can be had from site sponsors for significantly less than retail, probably not 150 less, but still...

    Brake fluid question

The fact that dot3, 4, and 5.1 fluids are all glycol based translates into the fact that they are all synthetic fluids. So when a manufacturer "takes advantage" of that fact and plasters a big bold "SYNTHETIC" label on their product to justify a higher price or to make you think it's better than...

    Brake fluid question

Dot 3, 4, and 5.1 are all glycol based, and can be mixed. Your Spyder uses dot 4, so using dot 3 would be a downgrade in the boiling point, and isn't a good idea. Fluids marked "dot3/dot4" are acceptable. Just don't use dot 5, which is silicone based, extra bad idea. Regarding...

    Going to a car tire

I guess that would probably be true if you were talking about using the same model tire with only a change in size. But if you upgrade to a significantly higher UTQG rated tire, the one centimeter difference in width would probably be overcome by the higher quality construction and materials...
